VMU Night Shift Technician

We have a fantastic opportunity for HGV Technician at our VMU Depot based within Iceland Distribution Centre, Penzance Drive, Swindon, SN5 7JF, to join the Sparks Team. You will be a key member of our operation, the role is to carry out all aspects of service, repair and maintenance work on all commercial vehicles that are booked into the workshop. You will liaise with the Workshop Controller to ensure the best customer service for our client. We are looking for a candidate with enthusiasm and a dynamic personality who will share our energy and passion and contribute to our ongoing success. Duties to include:
- Vehicle inspection
- General servicing
- Fault diagnosis
- Repair of vehicle defects
- Road test vehicles
- MOT preparation/presentation

We require:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3
- Have a good attitude to work at all times
- Ability to work on own initiative and part of a team
Shift pattern will be Monday to Friday, 10.00pm to 7.30am including ½ hour unpaid lunchbreak.
Competitive salary inclusive of shift allowance.
Overtime rates will be discussed at interview. Overtime is available but not guaranteed.
