HGV Breakdown Technician

We have a fantastic opportunity for a HGV Breakdown Technician at our Southampton location to join the Sparks Team, you will be a key member of our operation. You will liaise with the Foreman, Workshop Controller and Service Team to ensure the best customer service for our customers. We are looking for a candidate with enthusiasm and a dynamic personality who will share our energy and passion and contribute to our ongoing success. Duties will include:
- Vehicle inspection
- General servicing
- Fault diagnosis
- Repair of vehicle defects
- Road test vehicles
- MOT preparation/presentation
- Breakdown/roadside assistance and call out duty
- Completion of all required paperwork accurately
The successful candidate will:
- Be a qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three of equivalent)
- Qualified Roadside Recovery Technician
- Full UK Driving Licence
- HGV Licence preferable but not essential
- Have a good attitude to work at all times
Competitive salary. Flexibility is available for start and finish times to fit with family and work life balance, based on working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Overtime is always available but not guaranteed. Additional benefits after 12 months employment.
